Shanghai : HUANGPU RIVER and NIGHTLIFE

Shanghai is the biggest economic area in China.

I have about 20 times there, and taking many photos.

I introduce Huangpu River in Shanghai below.

HUANGPU RIVER

Huangpu River is known as the “mother river of Shanghai” with a total length of 113.4 kilometers.

This is Shanghai’s largest river which derives from Dianshan Lake and flows into the Yangtze River eventually.

Today, there are a series of good tourist spots to experience along the Huangpu River like wharfs, small towns,parks, museums and historic buildings. You’ve come to this city with a profound fate with water.

The Bund

An iconic landscape of Shanghal. In 1930s, the pattern of this building complex in the west bank of Huangpu River had formed basically.

Now, it has welcomed museum hotel and high-end restaurants.

Shanghai is one of the largest cities in Asia, the most westernized in China, and despite its rapid development, the city has maintained its original style and charm. (photography in 1994)

Shanghai Customs House Building

Inserted with the world’s third biggest customs bell, which till can chime with music.

The Swatch Art Peace Hotel

A well-known luxury hotel in Shanghai 100 years ago. Sun Yat-sen and other celebrities had ever visited here.

Peace Hotel

The most famous old hotel in Shangha Coming here to appreciate the old jazz musicians playing is a popular activity.

The building with the green cone-shaped roof was renamed the Peace Hotel on March 8, 1956. Thehotel was elected the 1991/92, 1993/94 Most Famous Hotel in the World b the Most Famous Hotels in the Organization in Vienna (photography in 1990). This building’s former name was “Sassoon Hotel”, which Cathay Hotel occupied from 4th to 7th.

Sleepless East Nanjing Road

Today the road still enjoys the reputation of the “First Commercial Street in China”. You may find the prestigious Four Great Department Stores, many over-one-hundred year-old brand stores. And consumer crowds flowing through every day.

At nightfall, various light box advertising and neon lights make the road look bustling and magnificent.

The North Bund

An industrial zone once, located in the intersection of Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek You can take a leisure stroll here along riverside green space.

Waitanyuan

With diverse historic architectures and a gather place of foreign entrepreneurs once, it welcomed a relaxed life with restaurant and art gallery.

The area which surrounded by Yuanmingyuan Rd., Beijing Rd. (E),Hugiu Rd.,Nansuzhou Rd.

Garden Bridge

Completed in 1907, it is the most romantic place to admire sunrise or sunset.

Astor House Hotel

With nearly 170-year history,scientist Albert Einstein and artist Charlie Chaplin stayed here once 15 Huangpu Rd.021-6324 6388 S Line10/12, Tiantong Rd. Station

Broadway Mansions Hotel

Completed in 1934, it has received more than a hundred world leaders 20 Beisuzhou Rd.021-6324 6260 6 Line10/12, Tiantong Rd. Station

Lujiazui

A number of skyscrapers with different styles have been built here one after another, from time to time to refresh the city skyline.

Standing hundred meters above the around you can have dinner and overlook the Huangpu River.

Jinmao Tower

it is recommended sending postcards on the 88th floor’s observatory. It will be very special. 88 Century Ave.

Shanghai World Financial Center

The observatory with 474-meter-high is the best place overlooking the city’s night scenes.

Shanghai Tower

With a total height of 632 meters. It is currently the tallest building in China and among the world’s tallest buildings. 479 Lujiazui Ring Rd., Pudong.

 

The Source Of Huangpu River

Dianshan Lake is the source of Huangpu River. You can visit the water town with fresh air and pleasant scenery.

Huangpu River Cruise

Huangpu River Estuary
